Cistermiser, the UK’s leading provider of commercial washroom water management solutions, is delighted to announce that it has become an affiliate member of Waterwise, the independent, not-for-profit NGC that is focused on reducing water consumption in the UK.
Cistermiser Managing Director Richard Braid comments: “When we first approached Waterwise, the synergy between our two organisations was obvious. Cistermiser’s whole strategy is to innovate to deliver sustainable, high-performance solutions that ultimately save water. At the time of writing, with the UK on their first ever red heat alert, we’re hearing of water shortages across the country. The onset of climate change means this is only set to worsen. That’s why it’s so important that as an industry we work together to save and optimise our use of the most valuable asset – water.
“Joining Waterwise came at the prefect time for us as we launched the unique EasyflushEVO range, which brings together the previously unattainable benefits of non-touch and leak-free flushing. The patented design means there is no flush seal below the waterline, so unlike traditional flush valves, it will not leak due to debris, scale or seal degradation. EasyflushEVO is calculated to save up to 78,475 litres of water per unit per annum and offers an 8 month payback on the initial investment. Although it may not single-handedly solve the water wastage problem, it goes a long way to raising standards and is just one of the many highly innovative approaches Cistermiser has taken to help address this industry-wide problem.
“We look forward to working with the team at Waterwise to support, challenge policy and encourage industry and consumers to be both mindful yet ambitious when it comes to water saving behaviours and developing new innovations.
Dr Nathan Richardson, Head of Policy and Strategy of Waterwise adds: “We are delighted to welcome Cistermiser to the Waterwise family. Their comprehensive range of intelligent water management and energy saving solutions are designed with sustainability and water saving at their core which naturally dovetails perfectly with our strategy. The more we can partner with like-minded organisations like Cistermiser, the louder our collective voice will become and the more likely it is for positive action to be taken.”
